Patrick Plewman
President, Chief Executive Officer & Director
Patrick Plewman has served as our Chief Executive Officer since June 2000; Director since April 2000; President since December 1999; and Chief Operating Officer since July 1999. From our inception in August 1997 through June 1999, Mr. Plewman served as our Vice President of Corporate Development. From 1989 to 1997, Mr. Plewman served in various capacities at SmithKline Beecham, most recently holding the position of Director, Business Development - Molecular Diagnostics. Mr. Plewman holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. |

Robert L. Wolfert, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President & Chief Scientific Officer
Robert L. Wolfert, Ph.D., Executive Vice President & Chief Scientific Officer, has been with diaDexus since November 2000. From May 1999 to October 2000, Dr. Wolfert was Vice President, Research and Development of Atairgin Technologies, a biotechnology company. From April 1984 to April 1999, Dr. Wolfert served in various capacities at Hybritech Incorporated, a diagnostics company, where he most recently held the position of Director of Immunodiagnostics Research. Dr. Wolfert holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Immunology from Tufts University School of Medicine. |

David Foster
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
David Foster is an experienced Chief Financial Officer and medical technology executive, having served most recently as CFO of Argonaut Technologies, a publicly owned chemistry instrument and consumables company. Previously, Mr. Foster was a co-founder and CEO of Cohesion Technologies, a medical technology start-up focusing on biosurgical products. Mr. Foster led the spin-out of Cohesion Technologies from Collagen Corporation to public investors in mid 1998 with headcount growing to 85 employees by 2001. From 1984-97, Mr. Foster worked at Collagen, a global, public medical technology company with $70 mill of revenues and 350 employees. He served as an officer at Collagen for 7 years, including 5 years as CFO. |

Richard B. Lanman, MD
Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Rick Lanman, MD, joined diaDexus in April, 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Lanman previously served as Executive Vice President - Corporate Development and Chief Medical Officer at Atherotech, an advanced cardiodiagnostics testing company. Prior to Atherotech, he was Founder and CEO of Adesso, an application service provider of quality and utilization profiling services for specialist physicians and health plans. Earlier in his career he was Senior Vice President and Medical Director for San Jose Medical Group, and Chief of Quality at Kaiser Permanente in northern California.
Dr. Lanman is a highly sought after national lecturer on the prevention and reversal of coronary heart disease, and has published several medical journal articles. He received his BS in Chemistry at Stanford University where he was Phi Beta Kappa, and earned his Medical Degree at Northwestern University. He completed his internship and residency at the University of California San Francisco. |

Bernard M. (Dino) Alfano
Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations
Dino Alfano has significant experience building early stage companies. Previously, he was President of Iris Diagnostics, a subsidiary of Iris International. At Iris Diagnostics, Mr. Alfano was instrumental in growing sales from $30 million in 2003 to $70 million in 2006, and expanding distribution from three to 60 countries. He also has served as Vice President, Business and Product Development, at Oxibio, and as Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, at Litmus Concepts, two early stage biotech companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Alfano helped build the bladder cancer testing market with Bard Diagnostics, and while at Syva Company, he led European marketing for its therapeutic drug assay lines. |
