Position: Inside Technical and Customer Service Manager
Location: South San Francisco, CA

Position responsible for the formation of diaDexus technical and customer service policies and procedures as well as tactical implementation. Provide both inside technical and customer support for the diaDexus product line including customer interface with laboratory and distribution partner customer types. Instrumental in providing a solid infrastructure to position the company for growth

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures with strategic direction from Director of Sales and Service.
  • Customer Service Order support and reporting
  • (Monthly and quarterly) sales and technical service reporting.
  • Provide external and internal technical support to DDX customers to troubleshoot technical issues and facilitate the sales process.
  • Works with Field Application Specialists and directly with customers in performing external evaluations, validations, and correlation studies. Domestically and/or internationally.
    • Compiles evaluation data and generates formal report(s) from data obtained.
  • Responsible for all customer service functions.
  • Work with individual state regulatory agencies to stay current with compliance regulations.
  • Work with R&D and Marketing on new product field evaluations.
  • Assist customers with insurance reimbursement.
  • Overnight travel required (10%).

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in working with laboratory staff in performing and interpreting analytical correlations and evaluations of laboratory analyzers.
  • Proficient in preparing and presenting correlation and evaluation statistical data.
  • Experience and working knowledge in the usage and applications of medical products and devices in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or related area from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • MT (ASCP) preferred.
  • Proven track record at developing policies and procedures to establish a service department in the medical field.
  • Minimum five years experience in the laboratory or medical devices field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing a technical and customer service department.
