Here are our current openings:

  • Scientist – Development, Diagnostic Applications
    This position will lead the development of immunoassay applications for automated, clinical chemistry analyzers.  You will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, performance testing and validation of in vitro diagnostic products in an FDA regulated and design controlled environment.  Candidates are expected to work independently with general direction from supervisor, as well as collaborate with various departments (e.g., marketing, sales, service, QA, QC) regarding customer-related issues and recommendations for improvements.  This position reports to the Senior Director, Technical Operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop viable immunoassay applications for automated clinical chemistry analyzers.
    • Ensure successful and timely technology transfer, assay development, process optimization and validation.
    • Support the application of immunoassays on specific laboratory instrumentation through the successful integration of reagent and assay components, hardware and software.
    • Responsible for timely completion of system test protocols, reports and other documents to support assay development.
    • Prepare and/or assist with preparation of technical information for customer manuals, troubleshooting guides, and reagent/instrument bulletins.
    • Serve as technical resource for troubleshooting products, including interactions among reagents and instrumentation.
    • May serve as a lead scientist in assisting technical problem-solving.
    • Expected to work effectively with field application specialists in addressing customer product issues.  May involve some travel to customer sites.

    Qualifications:
    • At least 5 years experience with in-vitro diagnostic development or technical support of multiple clinical chemistry analyzers and applications.
    • Ph.D. (or equivalent ) in Life Sciences or related discipline or Medical Technologist is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of immunoassays, solid phase modifications, antibody binding reactions, bio-analytical chemistry, and specific clinical chemistry analyzers and related equipment.
    • Strong ability to design, execute and interpret experiments, analyze and organize data to prepare documentation, reports and analyses; detail oriented.
    • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and follow-through skills in multi-functional team environment.
    • Strong knowledge of computer skills and proficient in statistical software and Microsoft Office applications.
